SPIRIT

The spirit and center of our life will be the Will of God: to do it and to live it out, as Jesus asked the Father that we do. [1]

"His exclamation, 'Yes, Father!' expresses the depth of his heart, his adherence to the Father's "good pleasure", echoing his mother's Fiat at the time of His conception and prefiguring what He will say to the Father in his agony. The whole prayer of Jesus is contained in this loving adherence of His human heart to the 'mystery of the will' of the Father.” (Eph. 1, 9)" [2]

The Word of God dwelt in man and became the Son of man in order to accustom man to perceive God and to accustom God to dwell in man, according to the Father's pleasure. [3]

It pleased God, in his goodness and wisdom, to reveal himself and to make known the mystery of his will: that men should have access to the Father through Christ, the Word made flesh, in the Holy Spirit, and thus become sharers in the divine nature. (DV 2)" [4]

Living the Will of God interiorly to its fullness is the result of allowing the grace of Baptism to develop within us in such a way that our external life be nothing other than an emanation of our interior life.

Our interior life will develop to the extent that we are obedient to the faith and to the Truth that result from the knowledge of the Revealed Truth.

Essentially God reveals His Love for us in the Person of Jesus Christ, who in turn reveals the Father to us, along with His commandment and His Will: that we may love one another as He first loved us [5]. This takes us to the intrinsic necessity to learn how it was that He first loved us [6], rather than the way we think that we should love one another.

Our love springs from an interior life centered in Jesus, fully known and lived out, in order to fulfill what Jesus taught us: “For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be" [7], For from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks [8], and thus become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life [9].

Constituted in a state of holiness, man was destined to be fully "divinized" by God in glory. Seduced by the devil, man wanted to "be like God", (Cf. Gen 3,5) but "without God, before God, and not in accordance with God" (St. Maxim Confesor, Ambiguorum liber: PG 91, 1156C) [10]

My way of working whatever it may be is always pure and holy even if it may appear bizarre to the creatures. This is because Sanctity is neither in the external act nor in the way of working, but it depends on the internal source of sanctity from which it comes from as well as on the fruits that my way of working produces.[11]

The value of our acts before God depends on the lower or greater intensity of our interior life... ...Our decisions should not depend on whether I like it or not, but only on whether it is the Will of God or not, that is our truth... ...Our law, which is none other than love, gives us the certainty that God is doing His work within us and in everyone and that everyone is acting in good faith... ...The extent of our trust depends on the extent of our union with God and on how we live our lives as Sons of the Divine Will... [12]

Our lives should be extraordinarily ordinary externally and ordinarily extraordinary internally. [13]
